STAR Kids: Client Information Session

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission will hold information sessions at locations around the state in January and February of 2016 related to the transition of various Medicaid services to the STAR Kids program. Beginning November 1, 2016, the STAR Kids managed care program will provide Medicaid benefits to individuals with disabilities under the age of 21 who receive Supplemental Security Income Medicaid or are enrolled in home and community-based services waiver programs, including:

  • Medically Dependent Children Program

  • Home and Community-based Services

  • Community Living Assistance and Support Services

  • Deaf Blind with Multiple Disabilities

  • Texas Home Living

  • Youth Empowerment Services
