Community Development Block Grants
The Community Development Department has begun its annual planning process for Year 42 of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Year 22 of the HOME Investment Partnerships Program fund allocation. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is requesting that the City plan for the expenditure of these funds for the next fiscal year. The Department will accept funding applications until 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2016. This deadline will allow staff to determine eligibility of projects before beginning the prioritization process.

Call for Exhibitors! Kenneth White Junior High 1st Annual Community Health Fair- Guest Form
Kenneth White Junior High is hosting its 1st Annual Community Health Fair and we would like to invite you to set up a booth on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 5:30pm until 7:00pm in our school cafeteria. We would like to start off out 1st Annual Health Fair with great exhibitors
This is a wonderful opportunity to inform families from our community of the many services local agencies and businesses provide. We will have tables available where you may display information, pamphlets and any other promotional items to advertise your agency/business. We are asking each agency/business provide a prize (ie. mug, shirt, gift certificate, etc) so we may have door prizes throughout the evening. Open House will be occurring on this day, so we do expect a good amount of participants.

tSummary: By attending this workshop participants will have an understanding of trauma experiences and reactions with the focus on sexual abuse victims. Participants will learn how to help sexual abuse victims identify and process feelings related to the abuse, reduce feelings of guilt and shame, address some of the cognitive distortions associated with sexual abuse, and implement healthy coping skills utilizing play therapy activities and techniques.
