Important Notification on Non-Competitive Funding Opportunity

The DSHS Abstinence Education Program has a great opportunity for organizations to implement a national evidence-based teen pregnancy prevention curriculum. Through the Heritage Keepers Open Enrollment funding announcement, organizations can get money to purchase the curriculum and pay staff to teach the program. Youth served by this funding announcement will also receive the opportunity to get Service Learning hours and to participate in our popular Texas Youth Leadership Summit! This opportunity is open until March 1st at 2pm CST. Heritage Keepers is a 1-2 week abstinence education program that encourages abstinence until marriage that helps teen develop of strong sense of personal identity and worth, set protective bounders, resist negative peer pressure, determine and protect personal values and goals and set high standards for themselves.
